String of Pearls
Scientific Name: Curio Rowleyanus
Common Name: String of Pearls
A very popular succulent houseplant due to its unusual, pearl-like leaves, the String of Pearls is a fun, trailing houseplant! They can be easy to over and under water, so people might find them difficult. But once you find the watering method that works for you, you'll be able to handle any string plants!
Care: Bright light, well draining soil such as a cactus mix. Water when soil is completely dry, usually 2-3 weeks in your average home environment. Overwatering is one of the most common causes for losing a string of pearls! You can use the "squeeze test" that can be used with other succulents. Gently squeeze the pearls and if they are firm, they don't need water. If they are squishy or are starting to look wrinkly.
