Cactus, Joseph's Coat Variegated
Scientific Name: Opuntia monacantha variegata
Common Names: Variegated Joseph's Coat Cactus
Part of the Prickly Pear cactus family, the Joseph's Coat features flat paddle-like stems with stunning marbled variegation of white, yellow, and occasionally even pink! If they are kept happy, they can grow up to several feel tall. They will bloom with yellow and deep orange and red blooms that will then be followed by edible green and red fruit called tunas.
Basic Care: This cactus needs bright, indirect light. A south-facing window or a grow light are best. Pot in a well-draining cactus mix. A terracotta pot is best to pull away any excess moisture. These need to be watered only when the soil has completely dried out.
