Alternanthera, Party Time

Scientific Name: Alternanthera ficoidea 'Party Time'
Common Name: Joseph's Coat, Calico Plant, Parrot Leaf

A hybrid of the much more tame Alternanthera, Party Time is bursting with color. A fast-growing tropical, the leaves will grow mounded and compact while still trailing. It can reach up to 24" tall and 18" wide if its happy and given the room to grow. These are considered pet friendly.

Basic Care Notes: Bright, indirect light is a must to keep it's stunning pink vibrancy. A well-draining potting mix is best, with a mix of perlite and coir for drainage and moisture retention. Allow the the top 2" to top half of the soil to dry before watering again. Alternanthera's can sometimes be sensitive to tap water, if you notice something amiss, try using distilled water.
