Blueberry, Patriot

Patriot is an early variety great for places that need cold hardy plants. The Patriot is a vigorous grower, reaching height of 4–6 feet, and tends to adapt better to different soils then others.

Pot Size: 1 gallon pots.

For best yield results, blueberries should be planted with another variety for cross pollination.

For planting: Blueberries need to have acidic soil (a pH of around 4.5) and the Spokane area is known for having soil of a very neutral pH. We highly, highly recommend you look at our soil acidifier or soil acid mix when purchasing blueberry bushes. While online some sources say that pine needles will make your soil acidic, and while pine needles in nature are more acidic, they simply aren't acidic enough to change the pH to the needed level, or change the pH deep enough into the soil for blueberry roots to thrive.
