Scientific Name: Tradescantia cerinthoides 'Nanouk' (formerly Tradescantia albiflora 'Nanouk')
Common Name: Inch Plant, Wandering Jude, Wandering Dude, Fantasy Venice, Bubblegum

Wandering Judes are native to Mexico, Central America and Colombia, but have been naturalized to other locations in the world as well. In nature, they are a rapidly spreading groundcover and if left to their own devices they will form low thickets or mats. These fun tropicals are very fast-growing, and are easy to propagate from cuttings. They are beautiful trailing plants, perfect for hanging baskets or bookshelves.

The Nanouk variety has green leaves with bubblegum pink stripes that grow in pairs as the stem gets longer. When the stems are long enough and begin to trail, the stems will drop down, and as they lengthen, the ends will curl back up, which we find to be very charming!

Care: Bright indirect light, avoid direct sunlight as that can burn the leaves. Water when top of soil is dry, try not to let the soil dry completely out. Tradescantias are somewhat tolerant of neglect, so they can handle the occasional late watering, but prefer to have moisture in the soil. Most importantly - avoid getting water directly on the leaves, they really hate that! The leaves can get brown spots if they get water on their leaves. If this happens, don't worry, your plant is fine!! You can remove the brown leaves if you choose but your plant will be just fine.

***Due to the nature of plants, the plant we choose for you will be lovely, but won't look exactly like the photos.
