Peperomia, Raindrop

Scientific Name: Peperomia polybotrya
Common Name: Radiator Plant, Raindrop Peperomia 

Peperomias are hugely popular houseplants that come from tropical or subtropical climates around the world. They love to be warm (hence the nickname "Radiator Plant") and thrive in humid conditions. Peperomias come in 1000+ varieties and show up in a wide array of shapes, colors and textures that makes them super fun to collect.

The Raindrop Peperomia is an adorable little guy with thick heart-shaped leaves, and the variegated version has dark green centers and light yellow green around the edges of the leaves. 

Fun fact: In the photos of the non-variegated peperomia, those long white spikes are actually the flowers! They may or may not be present on the plant at the time of purchase, but they do bloom when they are happy with their light and watering situation. 

Basic Care Notes: Bright indirect light, water when top two inches of soil are dry. Adapts to lack of humidity, but still appreciates it. Be careful not to overwater!
