Water when top of soil is dry, try not to let the soil dry completely out. Tradescantias are somewhat tolerant of neglect, so they can handle the occasional late watering, but prefer to have moisture in the soil. Most importantly - avoid getting water directly on the leaves, they really hate that! The leaves can get brown spots if they get water on their leaves. If this happens, don't worry, your plant is fine!!
