Common Name: Petiolate fig, Rock fig, Mexican Rock Fig
Ficus petiolaris is native to Mexico and in the wild can grow up to 10-20 feet tall (sometimes even up to 90!). As an indoor plant, the Ficus petiolaris is relatively easy care, although plant experts might say that Ficus plants in general are somewhat temperamental. This particular variety has dark green, broad heart-shaped leaves with red veining throughout.
Basic Care Info: Needs medium to bright indirect light, these do not tolerate low or no light locations. Well draining soil, water when top 2+ inches are dry, do not overwater. Needs humidity, regular misting or humid location is ideal.
