Blueberry, Duke

The Duke is known for its early, high yield season of fruit, with the classic blueberry taste. Currently in a 1 gallon and 2 gallon pots. 

For best yield results, two different varieties of blueberries should be planted together for pollination.

For planting: Blueberries need to have acidic soil (a pH of around 4.5) and the Spokane area is known for having soil of a very neutral pH.  We highly, highly recommend you look at our soil acidifier or soil acid mix when purchasing blueberry bushes. While online some sources say that pine needles will make your soil acidic, and while pine needles in nature are more acidic, they simply aren't acidic enough to change the pH to the needed level, or change the pH deep enough into the soil for blueberry roots to thrive.
