Grows best and tastes sweeter when grown in cool weather. Plant in early spring or late summer, or winter in mild climates. Sow in full sun in rich, well-drained soil about two weeks prior to last spring frost date. Keep soil evenly moist.
Harvest bulbs when they reach 2-3″ in diameter.
Kohlrabi is an easy-to-grow cool weather crop that forms a distinctive green-white ball with pale yellow flesh. Peel its crunchy bulb and enjoy it raw or cooked.
