Select a sunny location with average soil. Plant outdoors after all danger of frost. May be started indoors two to three weeks early, but easy to grow when started directly in the garden or pot. Keep soil evenly moist and well-weeded. In mild climates, plant in fall for winter color.
Cut flowers regularly to extend blooming season.

This showy annual, also known as cornflower, produces a multitude of bright blue double flowers with contrasting grey-green foliage. Very hardy and reseeds freely.
