They are known for their arrow- or heart-shaped foliage with unique color variations and striking vein colorations. Alocasia are fairly fast-growing and when they are happy in their environment, they can add multiple new leaves and grow up to 1-2 inches in height in one month. In the wild, some alocasia varieties can get up to 10-15 feet in size with leaves up to 36 inches wide when they are fully mature!

The Bambino is a slow growing, highly compact varietal of Alocasia. With glossy, arrow-shaped leaves that are highly contrasted with silver veins, the Bambino is a perfect miniature Alocasia, maturing at only 12-18".

Basic Care Notes: Well draining soil, such as a cactus mix or a blend of soil mixed with amendments to help improve drainage such as orchid bark, perlite, vermiculite or peat moss. Keep soil evenly moist, but not soggy. Allow the first 2-3 inches of soil to dry out in between waterings. Alocasias don’t like their soil to dry out completely but don’t like “wet feet” so don’t let your alocasia sit in water! Alocasias like medium to bright indirect light. They also greatly appreciate added humidity, such as regular misting.

**Due to in store shopping, online availability is not guaranteed.

Due to the unique nature of plants, the one we carefully choose for you won't look exactly like the photos (and it may or may not be actively blooming) but it will be just as beautiful!

** For shipping during the cooler weather months you MUST add a heat pack to your purchase if the temperatures are below 55 degrees at any point. ADD HERE

We also strongly encourage no more than 2 day shipping during these times for the health of the plant during the journey. **
