Watching Your Yard Spring Into Life with Color!

Now is the time to add some early spring color to your landscape. Every yard should have a few of these plants to welcome spring. Below, I have listed a few early spring flowering shrubs that will be bursting with color soon. All hardy varieties for this area. Now is a good time to plant.
  • Mediterranean Heather - A low growing evergreen that's great for shady areas. Blooms pink or white in the early spring.
  • Rock Daphne - A must have plant that grows about 12 inches tall and 48 inches across in sunny locations. It blooms the most wonderful fragrant lavender pink blossoms in spring and grows in well- drained dry areas.
  • Spring Glory Forsythia - Practically the earliest bloomer of the season, these bright golden flowers will brighten up any yard that's void of color. Likes full sun and grows to 6 to 7 feet.
  • Summer Set Daphne - Unique upright dahpne variety with showy, fragrant blossoms that cover the top of the plant. Grows up to 3 feet tall in full sun.
  • Evergreen Azalea - Shade loving evergreen shrub. Early blooming in reds, pinks, and purples. Very low dwarf grows in shade and up to 2 feet.
